Though breeding and raising Holsteiner sport horses has always been a dream of Birch Hollow founder Bart Massucco, the Birch Hollow enterprise is clearly a family operation. Wife Marissa and children Liam, Bronte, and Lennox all take part in the farm's operation.  From daily chores to foal watch and handling the youngsters, everyone is involved and every season brings a different set of responsibilties and surprises.

The breeding mission is simple:  Use only top individuals from the very best Holsteiner motherlines available to produce the ultimate riding horse for use in any sport. Our horses are medium framed, quiet, superbly rideable with great natural reflexes, motion, and scope.

We use mostly our own stallions to keep our costs down and enhance promotional efforts.  As our younsters are reaching riding age and able to offer real evidence of their abilities, we think you'll agree the Birch Hollow breeding products are fulfilling our breeding mission and offer the domestic sport horse buyer outstanding value.
